Content licensing

Content is available under Creative Commons Attribution unless otherwise specified. Content is available under these licenses:

Attribution: Attribution is an important part of these licenses. Her idea is to give credit to who she deserves - the authors as our publishers. When you contribute with text, you accept that your merit is recognized in one of the following ways:

  • By a hyperlink (where possible) or by a URL to the article you contributed to (since every page has a history where all authors and editors are listed);
  • By a hyperlink (where possible) or by a URL to an alternative and stable copy, freely accessible, that respects the license and that credits the authors in a manner equivalent to the credit granted on the Project website; or
  • Through a list of all authors (but note that any list of authors can be filtered to exclude very small or irrelevant contributions).

Importing text: You can import texts found elsewhere or that you have written in collaboration with others, but in such a case you guarantee that the text is available under the terms compatible with the CC BY-SA 3.0 license (or, as shown above, with any license imposed, by exception, by the Project edition) ("CC BY-SA"). Content only available under GFDL is no longer admissible.

Public domain content: Public domain content is welcome! However, it is important to confirm that you belong to the public domain in accordance with the law of the United States of America, as well as with the law of any other country, as each edition of the project requires. When you contribute content that is in the public domain, you provide a guarantee that the material is indeed in the public domain, and you agree to label it accordingly.

Re-use: The re-use of the content we host is welcome, although there may be exceptions to content included under fair use clauses or other similar exceptions stipulated by copyright laws. Any person who reuses the content is required to comply with the license or licenses of the material.

Changes or additions to the material you reuse: When you modify or make additions to the text you obtained from the Project website, you agree to offer licensed content modified or added under the CC BY-SA license 3.0 or later (or, as explained above, under any license exceptionally required by the respective Project edition).

DMCA compliance

Wiki B-Zone wants to make sure that the content we host can be reused by other users without fear of liability and that it does not violate the property rights of others. In fairness to our users, as well as other creators and rights holders, our policy is to respond to announcements of alleged violations involving the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) formalities. In accordance with the DMCA, we will terminate, under appropriate circumstances, users and account holders in our system and network, which are repeated violations.

However, we must also acknowledge that not every withdrawal notification is valid or in good faith. In such cases, we strongly encourage users to file counter-notifications when they properly consider that the DMCA removal request is invalid or inappropriate. For more information on what to do if you think a DMCA notification has been submitted incorrectly, we recommend that you consult Lumen Database (formerly known as Chilling Effects).

If you own any content that is misused in one of the Projects without your permission, you may request that the content be removed in accordance with the DMCA. To make such a request, please send us an e-mail to contact@b-zone.ro or send an e-mail to our designated agent at this address.

Alternatively, you can apply to our community, which often handles copyright issues faster and more effectively than required under the DMCA. In this case, you can post a notification explaining your copyright concerns. For a non-exhaustive and unauthorized list of processes relevant to the various editions of the project, see here. Before submitting a DMCA complaint, you also have the option of sending an email to the community at contact@b-zone.ro.
