What is a faction?

A faction is a group of people who interact with each other and have the same purpose, depending on the faction's type. To make thing easier to understand, think of a faction as a workplace, where people have to achieve more or less the same objective and where everyone works together so it all goes smoothly. There are 4 main types of factions on the B-Zone RPG servers:

  • Peaceful factions
  • Gangs
  • Law enforcement Departments
  • Other Factions

For you to join a faction from one of the types listed above, a minimum level is required. The minimum level for each faction can be found on the website of the server you're playing on, under the Factions page. To learn more about the Factions page and how to apply in a faction, visit our article, Website:Factions.

General Characteristics

  • Any player can apply in a faction.
  • The players who are a part of a faction usually have to fulfil a weekly activity report.
  • IF a player does not fulfill the weekly report and does not have a valid inactivity request or other concrete reasons, they will be punished by the leader.
  • Punishments available within a faction are:
    • Faction Warn (FW)
    • Faction Punish (FP)
  • Each faction has its own special room for training exercises, meetings, and other similar activities. Members ranked 4 and above can use the /open command to open or close the room, which may allow faction members to enter. Inside, one may use /heal and /buygun (free of charge).

Faction Warn

  • A Faction Warn is a notice (warning) sent to the player regarding his position inside the faction. A leader issues a Faction Warn for one of his faction's members if they are breaking the faction's rules, but not in such a grave manner to require the member's dismissal (example: violations of the rules due to ignorance of the rules, insults colleague, not attending a meeting/an activity, etc.).
  • If a player receives a Faction Warn, two additional weeks will be added to the minimum number of weeks for advancing in rank. For departments, other factions and gangs it's necessary to wait at least three weeks.
  • If a player collects three Faction Warns, they are automatically dismissed from the faction with 10 Faction Punish (FP) units. If the player is in the testing period (less than 14 days after entering the faction) he will be automatically dismissed from the faction with 60 units of Faction Punish (FP).

Faction Punish

  • The Faction Punish is measured in units. There is a maximum amount of 60 Faction Punish units that can be attributed to a player. These units are issued when a player is dismissed from their faction after breaking the faction's rules in various ways.
  • If a player has at least one Faction Punish unit, they will not be able to apply in a faction.
  • Every PayDay, each player previously punished with Faction Punish will have one unit removed.
  • If you have a premium account, every 5 played hours, an additional Faction Punish unit will be subtracted.
  • Faction Punish units are issued when a player breaks the internal rules and has to be dismissed.
  • These units can also be removed through purchasing packages called Clear 10 FP from our virtual shop (/shop), using Gold.
  • Removing 10 Faction Punish units from the shop costs 200 Gold.

Leaving a Faction

Without Faction Punish

To leave a faction without Faction Punish, you need to have been in that faction for at least two weeks and not to have collected three active Faction Warns. If you meet these requirements, you can leave the faction without Faction Punish.

With Faction Punish 10/60

To leave a faction with Faction Punish 10/60, you need to have been in that faction for at least two weeks and to have collected three active Faction Warns.

With Faction Punish 60/60

To leave a faction with Faction Punish 60/60, you need to have been in that faction for less than two weeks and then break the rules of submit your resignation, or to have been in that faction for at least two weeks but you were banned for cheats.

About Applying

You don't need to register a new account, but you shall use the same credentials to login as the ones of your account on the server. Before entering your credentials, always make sure you have accessed the official web address.

You can apply in a faction from the FACTIONS tab, identifying the recruiting factions by looking at Application Status. Non-recruiting factions will display Closed and recruiting factions will display Opened. One you have found your favourite faction with an Opened status, you may apply by pressing the Aplly button, if you meet the necessary requirements to join that faction.

The application itself is easy to create, because you will be provided with fields that just need to be filled in. For your application to have maximum chances of approval, it has to be very well-thought, correctly written, to contain enough information so the leader can learn everything they want about you, and last but not least, it has to be true. A poorly written application is equal to minimal approval chances.

The Answer to Your Application

Based on how many players applied in that faction, you may await your answer for a couple of hours to even a couple of days. The moment your application has been answered, you will be notified on the website. You can also manually check the answer to your application by going on your profile, then on the Faction tab, where you'll find a list of logs from your previous factions and a list of your faction applications.

There you can see the status of your application, and when you notice it has changed, you can click the View button to view the leader's answer to your application.

The Tests

Once you have been accepted for tests, you have to find one of the faction's testers, in accordance with what the leader told you in the application or with what has been announced on the faction's subforum.

The theoretical test contains a set of questions from the general rules of the faction's type and from the faction's internal rules. The tester will inform you on who the test will proceed, also, some factions have such information on their subforum.

The practical test varies from faction to faction and in some cases, it might even be inexistent.

Once you have completed the tests, you will be given the final answer on whether you have passed of failed the tests.

Faction leaders, subleaders and players accepted for testing can use /testers to view online testers.

Complaints and Punishments within Factions

As a members of a faction, from time to time some complaints might be submitted regarding you, and the leader has to analyse them and decide if you have broken one of the faction's rules. You will be automatically notified on the website when a complaint regarding you is submitted, when such a complaint receives new comments or when it has been answered by the leader. As a faction member, you have the right to defend yourself by writing a comment with proof or other useful information for the leader, to facilitate their answer to the complaint.
