The employment location for this job is in northern Las Venturas. Mechanics usually offer their services to repair vehicles or refill players with fuel. Moreover, the mechanic job works on a skill system as well as the other jobs.

Responsibilities of a mechanic
Mechanics can: Respond to assistance calls (/service mechanic) and go there to solve the issue. To drive their special vehicles (Tow Trucks). To repair and refill vehicles for players.
Advancement in Skill
- To advance from skill 1 to skill 2, a mechanic needs 50 points.
- To advance from skill 1 to skill 2, a mechanic needs another 50 points. (total: 100)
- To advance from skill 1 to skill 2, a mechanic needs 100 points. (total: 200)
- To advance from skill 1 to skill 2, a mechanic needs 200 points. (total: 400)
Note: Successfully using /refill and /repairs rewards the mechanic with a point.
Refill percentage based on skill
- On skill 1, a mechanic can refill a fuel tank by 15%.
- On skill 2, a mechanic can refill a fuel tank by 40%.
- On skill 3, a mechanic can refill a fuel tank by 60%.
- On skill 4, a mechanic can refill a fuel tank by 80%.
- On skill 5, a mechanic can refill a fuel tank by 100%.
Specific Commands
/jobduty
This renders a mechanic on-duty, so they may receive specific messages when someone calls for assistance (/service mechanic). A mechanic can use the job's motorpool and repair/refill vehicles even if they are not on-duty.
/accept mechanic
The mechanic parameter is specific to this job. Using this command, mechanics can accept an assistance call made by a player.
Example: /accept mechanic Adi007.
/refill
This allows mechanics to refill a vehicle's fuel tank. To do so successfully, the player has to accept the service by typing in /accept refill. When a mechanic offers this service, they also have to specify the price.
Example: /refill Adi007 50, where 50 is the amount of money to be paid by player Adi007.
/refillgascan
This allows mechanics to refill a player's gas canister. To do so successfully, the player has to accept the service by typing in /accept refill. When a mechanic offers this service, they also have to specify the price.
Example: /refillgascan Adi007 50, where 50 is the amount of money to be paid by player Adi007.
/repair
The command enables a mechanic to repair a player's vehicle. To do so successfully, the player has to accept the service by typing in /accept repair. When a mechanic offers this service, they also have to specify the price. With this command you have to wait 30 seconds if you repair another player's vehicle and if you repair your own vehicle you have to wait 2 minutes until the next repair.
Example: /repair Adi007 50, where 50 is the amount of money to be paid by player Adi007.
